Inmaculada Moreno, PhD, is Principal Investigator at the Carlos Simon Foundation–IIS INCLIVA, where she leads the research group focused on the role of the endometrial microbiome in human reproduction.

She obtained her PhD in Microbiology from the University of Valencia with European Mention and Extraordinary Doctorate Award. After postdoctoral training in molecular oncology and stem cell biology, including collaborations with Stanford University School of Medicine, her research has focused on reproductive microbiome, endometrial health, infertility, implantation failure, and obstetrical complications.

Dr. Moreno has published extensively in leading international journals including Nature Medicine, Nature Communications, Microbiome, Human Reproduction, and Fertility and Sterility.

She has also contributed to pioneering research on the endometrial microbiome and co-developed one of the molecular diagnostic tests currently used in clinical practice to assess endometrial microbiota in reproductive medicine.

She is an internationally recognized speaker in reproductive microbiome and translational reproductive medicine.
